With Matt Smith leaving Doctor Who in December, who do you think will take over?

Also, do you think this will be the 11th or (because of John Hurt), his 12th and final regeneration?

Thought the Doctor could regenerate 12 times. That would mean there will be 13 Doctors - providing that the producers will honor the original series. And unless they write their way around that limit a la the Master.

As for the "13" rule, my guess is that, well, they're in a time machine. I'd bet anything that's gonna get worked into it, or a parallel world or hell, the doctor might even have another kid 😜

John Hurt was the Doctor before he took the name "The Doctor" , he was the Time Lord that fought in the war against the Daleks that destroyed Gallifrey. I'm gonna miss Matt Smith and River Song, my favorite companion ever

In the Sarah Jane series I am sure that David tennants said that there was no limit I might be wrong with that swags

True, but something's bothering me about the last episode.
The dying TARDIS control room was the same as the present one.

So, will the Doctor never again update the "desktop" or does he die sooner than we expect?

The TARDIS stores every desktop maybe it changes to the doctor that visits his grave so it feels at home and scares him haha

There's no way the next doctor could be the last, I refuse to believe it. I've been watching since Tom Baker and never has the show been so good, they wouldn't , couldn't kill it

IIRC, the 13 rule is discarded since it was more of a law enacted by the time lords to prevent overpopulation, and with their death, there isn't anyone to enforce the rule, so the doctor can come back as often as he likes.

and on a side note, what happened to that clone of his that regenerated without changing face, the blonde girl from when Donna was the companion?

No, River gave up her remaining regenerations to save the Doctor (supporting the 13 rule)

The Doctor's "daughter" is a much more interesting idea, after the one episode, she disappeared!

I think he means the episode The Doctor's Daughter, slightly earlier in the series. It was the one with the fish people

Didn't the doctors daughter die at the end? Or after the doctor and Donna left , did she regenerate? I can't remember, I'll have to watch it again.
