I've only seen the 6th one but I'm told that with that ending it meant Tokyo drift got moved to after number 6 and the series will continue from there.

They're opinions. If you didn't like it then it wasn't aimed at you.
I still don't get why you would make a "generalization" with inception. Those are two completely different movies. Even if you are comparing them, inception has a pretty intricate plot line, with only a few noticeable flaws, whereas in FF6 I am constantly noticing the horrific plot line, and how every other scene was so unrealistic that half the time I thought I was watching the Avengers.
