I just took a shower and my shower water smells like bleach. The bathroom wasn't recently cleaned, but the toilet was cleaned 3-4 days ago. This smell just started to come today

I used to live in Memphis and it was obvious the days they dumped extra chlorine into the water system. The smell was awful. You would scorch your tongue drinking the water. It felt like putting 9v battery terminals on your tongue, which everyone should try at least once.

Nah, the chlorine is used to kill the sewer mutants. He's probably just getting the dead mutant bits that are being flushed through the system. Our tax dollars at work.

flush your water heater out. all sorts of crap can build up in them. if its still there get your water tested. home depot has free test kits and your local health department might provide free testing.

If it smells that bad the chlorine levels are to high get it tested shouldn't be over 1.0 parts per million free chlorine
Either call the water department or put in a carbon filter but that will cost you
I didn't bother fight with them I just put in the filter
