I understand the movie.. The monsters are fake and it really is like 2000's when they all believe that it is like 17-1800's

I may be wrong but you initial post sounded like you misunderstood the movie. It's been many many years since I've seen it. But to my knowledge there is no experiment, some dudes with money bought a lot of land and wanted to escape from the world so they created the village.

I personally liked the ending of total recall. At first you thought it was real, then it was fantasy, then it was real. Quite confusing if you ask me.

Human Centipede. It had a very well thought out plot, and a great twist towards the end.
