I have an iPhone 4 and a 4s with AT&T. Bill is like $220 a month. Want to move them to straight talk. I have to have an unlocked phone to do it. Is it possible? Anybody here done it? I'm a tech idiot btw....

It is possible and really easy. Just go the the unlocking website on safari and let it do all the work.

Straight talk is cheaper. And I already own the phones :-/

I assume you're on AT&T. If you are out of their contract take it into an AT&T store. They will (or at least at one time would) unlock it for you. Apple store should be able to do the same thing. I've heard it's free.

AT&T still unlocks ur phone. U can do it via the AT&T website. I have done it. Takes less then give min. Even chat with real person to help.

Unlocking a phone isn't illegal, though I do vaguely remember advertising being disallowed by ToS .... but surely, even loosely translated, a simple weblink couldn't be classed as advertising?

I unlocked my ex's iPhone 4S with unlock.it. I also had to buy a micro sim from the straight talk website. It was around 60 dollars and it came with one month unlimited service.
