I sit by my hemlock table and the memory comes uninvited .....(Shimmer shimmer....more shimmering....shimmer)....Bride and groom were we.She wore a dress the colour of the freshest snow and a ceremonial fringe of fine stitch with a veil of woven spider web.....the marriage kiss charged with erotic symbolism,the drafted speeches,the eating,the criticizing,the improper acts,the fighting,....but I found I had no heart for it....for as we spun on the dance floor,her gown did lift and the mirrored walls did reflect a hundred times or more the sight of a gorilla finger coming out of her back door.And filigreed onto its mass was the name "Rudgicus".Delusional? maybe but 'twas a sign nonetheless.There was naught for it, I left there and then for I realized that I was missing the 150th party of my great friend Rudge.
