Does anyone collect coins that plays turf wars? I personally go to the bank and get boxes of coins look through. Does anyone use metal detectors?

People spending old coins is why you can still find some in circulation but it is rare. I once was at a bank when an old guy came to the counter and had some silver 1/2 dollars and wanted bills the teller told him they were valuable he didn't care. As he walked away I went to her window and said I want to buy those. She had to sell them to me at face value. I scored 6 silver 1/2 dollars. It still happens.

Also, I invest in silver by use of coins. I wouldn't say I collect them. Used to own the eft GLD but I've sold it all.

Very cool. I have mostly US coins but I love the Canadian coins because of the artwork and old Mexican coins often have very cool Aztec or Mayan art. 💰💰🏧

I collect coins that are made before 1979. I figure that if I keep them then when I'm 50 they will be like 70 years old and worth more than they are now!
