  Dumb question but was is American food??? Are you talking like Florida gator steaks or a special burger sauce, maple syrup on pancakes, Mississippi mud pie ?? (Only thing I can think of is McDonald's and not sure that counts 😜)

  American food that originated in the US, it has spread throughout the world and is very popular..
  Hamburgers, onion rings, breakfast cereal, doughnuts, mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, bbq sauce, coca-cola, fried chicken, etc.

  And the following crops originated there:
  Corn, tomato, potato, blueberries, vanilla, and pineapple.

  America has had a huge influence on global cuisine.
