Ever hear a song that was popular when you were young and think, wow that song actually had a story behind it?

I just listened to "last kiss" by pearl jam literally had me bawling. Hadn't heard that song since I was a kid, didn't pay attention to the lyrics I guess.

Anyone have a similar experience with other songs?

Yes surfing birds. The bird is the word. I just now realized that the song was meant to tell you that the bird is the word.
