Well, after over two years of faithful service, and numerous drops, bumps, and tosses, my iPhone 4 falls out of my pocket and basically shatters the screen. Definitely need my upgrade now, but made my screen not so splintery with strips of clear tape. It'll work til I get my new phone.

You can fix it own your own for $20. Find a kit & screen on eBay and it'll be good in no time 👍

My phone's been getting pretty glitchy and I'm due for an upgrade anyway. It's only an 8 gig iPhone 4. Maybe I'll go with the 4s.

If its been two years I suggest an ungrade if your service allows it... I've had my 4s for almost two years.. Well It will be in November... But It just flew into the sink, long story.. And my back glass broke.. Which was blue.. 😢 I'm just thankful it wasn't my front cause that takes you like a day to take your whole phone apart.. I wish you luck with what you do. Kits do cost like 50 bucks front and back. I go to iphone4parts.com.

Make sure the frame isn't bent too if you do decide to try this. My iPod frame was bent so the replacement screen wouldn't fit and the frame wouldn't bend back. I ended up scrapping it and buying a new iPod

Just tried to change my front glass on iPhone 4. Now back to my iPhone 3. DONT try this yourself

Last year when I busted my screen, I used Saran Wrap for 5 months 🎈👍 then I bought an otter box to hold the phone together. I had that busted phone for a year and a half. You eventually just stop seeing the cracks lol

I know what you mean. I tried on my old iphone 3G a few years ago. It's not that difficult all in all, you just have to be SUPER gentle when disconnecting cables and then lifting out the LCD. If possible try and find the clips that keep the LCD in and try and then lift it with your fingers. DO NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER like they tell you to do. I have no idea how the dude in my instructional video did it, but I watched that video over and over while I did it and still cracked it.

If your back glass breaks simple go over it with different colour highlighter and laminate it, adds colour like a rainbow

When I broke my iphone4 I went to Apple and they gave me a brand new one for $99. Then I went directly to Verizon and bought an otter box case!

I got a new 4s from AT&T for $80 using my busted 4 as a trade in.
