Just got the word... My son got the Gates Scholarship! Free college all the way through grad school. I'm so proud of him!

He had a couple really rough years, depression, suicide attempts, missed a year of school. Bouncing back from those bad years to earn this scholarship is amazing. I'm so proud of him. And to any other teens fighting depression, it gets better!

He's into doing some brain/computer interface right now, so neuroscience/programming/engineering. But who knows? Maybe he'll become a gym teacher.

His senior project is a brain controlled claw machine. It's pretty cool, fun to play with. I think I'll buy him a quadcopter for graduation.
