Enough already.

Lol, this is such a ridiculous comment. They were kids when they were brought to the US. This is not "repayment" for the scholarship. Are you just looking for a reason to race hate?
Had they been American would they not still be biting a hand that fed them? Those who educated, raised them, offered them opportunity?

Anyone remember Timothy Mcveigh? The American that made a bomb in a Ryder truck made of diesel and fertilizer that caused death in destruction in Oklahoma City? Nationality shouldn't have anything to do with these discussions. White, black , orange, American, middle eastern, European, Asian, African, Martian... if any of these groups of people would have done these horrendous acts, it shouldn't fall on their nationality.

In both cases people may be killed. However political and religious zealots made a conscious decision, the mentally ill are unable to control their decisions.

Judging by your opinion on zealotry, I'm going I assume your are an atheist. It's just what happens when passion for your own ideas and followings goes too far, and is understandable to some extent (SOME EXTENT). A psycho's actions, however, are induced by broken morals, poorly chosen values, and to be honest, an infinite number of things. -

ℜagɳar Loðbrók, you are able to discern the differences between the two, but what you are missing is the similarities. Mental illness is not a biological disease, it is a social disorder which effects the neural wiring of the brain...just like religion. Distorted views of reality are dangerous and should be assessed accordingly. Religion is not to be used as a scape goat in a just society.

You don't need to be a liberal to have morals. Look up the definition of just, kick yourself in the face, then say "Mayhem, I am too stupid to know what is just in todays society. The 10 commandments are getting a little outdated and I'm having a hard time applying then to todays complicated issues. Could you please teach me how not to be a douche in todays society?"★MΛΥΗΞΜ★ wrote:

@Ragnar: The original comparison was between zealots and mentally ill people. I maintain there's no difference if they affect society with the same level of destruction. This argument of "they have the right idea, but their passion has taken them slightly off the path" as a way to expiate zealotry is beyond comprehension.
