We are going to DC next month me and my wife. Has anyone been there? Maybe have suggestions on where to stay. I've heard Georgetown.

Stay in the white house

Georgetown is full of supermutants.

The Brotherhood of Steel have some ok digs at the Pentagon...

Best bet is just outside DC. Arlington, Va or Bethesda, MD for example. Both are very close, 5 - 15 min drive or so to the city. Much better bang for your buck & significantly less chance of ending up a causality of the city.

Best place I found was the Courtyard Marriott in Arlington VA. Easy parking in the basement and very close to the subway that we use to get to White House, Museums, etc.

Thanks. I've seen Arlington in my search. Fairfax as well. Is everything prett accessible? Museums, and what not? Getting really excited

Make sure that if you are staying outside dc to leave 3-5 hours early. Trust me your going to need too.

If you need information about DC pm me. I live here and can help. You're best bet is to stay outside of the city. I would not suggest Arlington as it will take you forever to get into the city. Try Alexandria or google metro and look at hotels nearby. There are 6 colored lines and its easier to stay near the end of one. Most hotels do take you to the metro if you're close but it's always easier to walk. My suggestion would be the green line at branch avenue which there are 2 hotels in about walking distance or the yellow and blue lines by Huntington metro that has plenty of hotels right near it.

What's your price range?

Oh, and unless you really like walking or buses I'd scratch Georgetown. It's nice, but there's no metro stop. Not particularly cheap either.

I stayed at the Holliday Inn only one block away from the air and space museum a few years back. Great hotel with a pool on the roof. I could see the museum from my room.

Stayed in Washington last year. We decided to stay I rosslyin which is just on the west side of the Potomac. I really recommend this option - a short subway ride from any of the civic destinations or u can walk across the bride to Georgetown (an amazing place to check out)
Enjoy!

So which is better? Rosslyn, Bethesda, Arlington, Alexandria, Georgetown? Just make sure it's by a station? We are booking today. Thanks turf warriors
