  I just got the text that one of my teachers has an uncle that was in the race. He crossed the finish line just moments before the blast. He's okay but was in the immediate area when the explosions went off.

  Horrible event in American history. I'm not sure what the death/injured counts are up to but one is too many.

  Just another example of senseless violence in an action that achieves nothing worth it. Was the person or people involved ever caught and a motive made clear? And also, I heard metal ball bearings were found there after the explosion, is that true?

  They said they have a few possible leads on who put them there. I don't think they do. Personally.
  The ball bearings rumor was false. I will have to find the source that mentioned it. But at most; shrapnel, rocks/cement, and glass was found inside wounds.

  The 'casing' was a pressure cooker/pot. Stuffed with bits of metal. (Supposedly) They haven't yet found out the whole make up. But do know it was stuffed in a duffle bag inside a backpack.
  Which is why it is hard to definitively pin anyone for it.
