I just bought a iPhone 3G to jailbreak it and experiment the jailbreak experience. Any suggestion of things to get ?

It's already jailbroken ... Used ultrasnow ... It's on iOS 4.2.1.

I meant packages to download via cydia.

I already have winterboard ... Any cool theme to suggest ? There seems to have a lot of crap out there & a lot of things that doesn't work for iPhone 3.

im using and ipad mini but had my iphone jailbroken and i used most of what you said picasso

Yea most things are for 4 and 5. 3 is a bit outdated. Themes are completely up to you, I can't really suggest anything. I don't know what you like. I have a black and red UI, with Chicago Bulls SMS theme. I have 6x7 pages, with a 6 icon dock

I know it's a bit outdated , I bought it for 25$, it was only to experience the jailbreak as I don't want to jailbreak my iPhone 4.

Barrel is cool to use as a change to how you scroll through screens. Also folder enhancer to change up how folders function. Dont forget to get Ifile as well. It lets you dive into the filesystem much like win explorer and such.

Did you download a mobile terminal and take the steps to reset you're internal password stuff to keep you're phone from being hacked?

Movie box & vshare doesn't work on my device , the firmware is too old , I guess.
Any alternative ?

Barrel doesn't work either cause I'm on a arm6 & you need arm7.

All the other things are pretty cool !

Anyone is using frash ... Or something like that to be able to read flash ? ( just wondering if it working )

Any cool theme to suggest ? I like clean & dark ones. I already have atomic I think, I find the design very nice, but there is a couple of icons missing & it doesn't look as good as it should.

Sorry to hijack,

Does the jailbreak slow the phone down any? I did it once back on iOS 3 (before it was called ios) and it made my phone so slow I couldn't hardly even use it.

I've been kicking around the idea with my iPhone 4 but its slow as it is.

I believe it does slow down a bit but not much. Well worth it.

Springtomize and dream board are fun to play around with. Springtomize, if it works for you is a system wide program that replaces a lot of smaller programs, with many many options to choose from. While dream board actually changes the whole layout of the phone, I downloaded windows7 mobile and it looks almost identical to the windows phone, pretty cool if you like seeing how your phone can look like any other phone on the market.

I also like YouTubetoMP3. Great app. However, I can't import downloaded songs to my iPod player. I keep getting the error message "Unknown Error"

Depends on the phone. The newer, the better (I.e. iPhone 5 will run faster than an iPhone 4S, iPod 4th generation runs faster than iPod 3rd generation, yada yada yadah)
Your device will theoretically run slower but all iDevices run slower when you download any content.

To my experience, it is not significantly slower, but it is noticable. And some packages tend to slow down the device when installed (insomnia wrecked havoc with my iPod 😥)

Having an app killer such as the one in the SBS pull down is the best way to optimize your speed if you use it correctly
