I am currently reading othello in my English class. Who else has read this? What are your thoughts on it?

Many themes, one is consequences of jealousy, eh that's all I got. Iago manipulates situations and lies to make Desdemona look like a whore, removes cassio from his position of power, destroys Roderigo, you have to read it to understand it.

Jealousy b/c Iago is jealous of the position Cassio was assigned(othello picked cassio over Iago) and he thinks Othello slept with his wife.

Wow, memories flooding back. I studied othello for my English gcse in the 90's. Mainly remember the line "making the beast with 2 backs" meaning sex, not sure why lol
