Molars out
Forums › General Discussion › Molars out-
So this Thursday I have an appointment at the dentists to get my molars removed. Anything I should be concerned about such as foods to eat, does it matter if I talk, will I be in a lot of pain, etc.
People with past experiences please help! -
Don't know, I've still got mine at 40....

If you pay a little extra the dentist might answer these questions for you.

My mom is a dentist. I kinda cut the topic off earlier while speaking to her about it because she was telling me how some patients have awoke from the anesthetics during the procedure. She also said how others said their bodies were sleeping, but they could hear the people talking during the operation so I just walked away.If you pay a little extra the dentist might answer these questions for you.

You asked her about what you can and cannot eat after the procedure and she answers by telling you these stories?
-
I didn't even get a chance to ask her. As soon at I said how long will it take to be over she said 45-60 minutes then carried into them stories

You did right in not listening then👍

Why dont you take local anesthetic? Then you'll be awake the entire procedure... My girlfriend removed hers too and only had local anesthetic after that she was sore and her cheeks were swollen for about 2 days

Which ones? Wisdoms impacting are they?

It hurts like hell.

It's not that bad if u listen to the doc on how to take care of it drink the nasty mouthwash, use the ice pack they should give ya, use ibuprofen 800 mg if they don't give u any or enough pain meds, don't smoke, eat soft liquid foods like applesauce and don't bite ur tongue or cheek when they are numb it'll hurt later

When I get my wisdom teeth out I'm making 3 days worth of blue, purple and red jello 😁

I don't get it. Your mom is a dentist so you thought you'd ask a game forum about dentistry?? Although why she would think telling you those stories was a good idea is worrying.... hope she doesn't do that with all her patients!!

She'd rather tell me it so I know what is able to happen. Clear example of why doctors tell you loads of horrible things that have happened to patients while getting whatever operation you're getting so you're aware of what happens. On food boxes. Tell you what things have happened to people.El Chubaneebre wrote:

Some advice from my experience.
Don't:
-drink through a straw
-eat rice
-drink coffee or anything hot.
Do:
-go on a first date. I've had two first dates after dental work. Both girls thought the swollen cheeks were cute. I done need to go into detail on how both of those dates went 😃
