Car accident
Forums › General Discussion › Car accident-
Well today I was picking my girlfriend up from school. When picking up students you drive around the outside of the parking lot, following the pickup line, from entrance to exit(reason for driving around is because in the middle is different rows of parking for students.) after you pick up the person you're there for you go around the bend down a straight away which is 2 lanes to exit the parking lot(left lane is for turning left, right for right.) While in them lanes you automatically have the right away. People attempting to leave the rows have to either wait for a moment when they have the ability to go or for when a driver from the lane signals you to go. Today the left lane was a little jammed up but people left room between the row openings just incase the right lane was able to be pulled into. I picked my girlfriend up and drove around the corner. With no one being in the right lane I proceeded to the stop sign.
-
About halfway there I see a random ford expedition attempt to pull between cars in attempt to go into the right lane completely plowing the side of my car almost pinning it against the cars in the parking spots on the side of the right lane. Me being me, I'm a very reasonable person. the girl looks very young so I just put my window down and confusingly looked at her. She put her window down and literally said to me "You came out of no where." I looked at the car to my right that I was almost pushed into and they nervously looked and me and signaled me to move forward and to part on the side. I diagonally parked into a couple of spots on the side.
-
Seeing the girl pull up aside of me thinking that she was going to top continued to drive away. Luckily my girlfriend seen her license plate and I used onstar to report the hit and run. 15 minutes go by and the girl returns with her father. She tried saying to the cop "I was scared" the cop aggravated that she left, loudly said just because you're nervous doesn't mean you leave after you hit someones car. Everything way caught on camera and she's most likely going to lose her license and she has only had it since 3/4/13. Word from other people that witnessed it saying that she wasn't even paying attention when she was pulling out. Laying here now at home my ankle is starting to throb. My mother explained how I must not of felt it at first because I was in shock but she hit my driver side and since I sit close to the steering wheel and have long legs that I might have jammed it. Do you think she deserves to lose her license for wrecking my car when she just got her license.
-
I feel as if she does because she wasn't paying attention to what she was doing.
Picture of my car(doesn't look that bad because of the lighting and stuff, but it really is :( I'm extremely pissed because i'll have an accident record on it now and it's a brand new car -.-): https://sphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-snc7/484706_347547848694991_1171815170_n.jpg

That's a long story. A bit disappointed at the end though, left me wanting more.

I say one less idiot on the road is a good thing. I doubt she will lose her license but hopefully it will be a nice wake up call for her.

Play stupid excuses!
Win stupid prizes! -
Shit happens. Especially with beginning drivers. And now you don't have to worry about getting your car dinged ever again.

I can almost guarantee she will. Reason for that is because it was her fault and she only has a provisional license. You can only have 4 people on your license and with that you need to take a class. This accident will be more than four and it's caught on tape. While you have your prov license prosecutors aren't allowed to drop any points unless it's like 4-2(and this would be for speeding.) They especially wouldn't drop points for an accident.

A couple new doors, some minor metalwork, be good as new. I don't think it will lower the value of the car after its repaired. You didn't do any frame or drivetrain damage. Keep the repair and police records so you can show any prospective buyer that is was a minor, low speed collision.

Nah was literally going to put $250 in my bank today after I picked my girlfriend up and took her to lunch so I could by my cool air intake, but I couldn't even get out of the lot without a female smashing my car. Can't even get my 5% tint next week :(

Bah... Female drivers... What a plague... Ive had my fair share of dumbasses like that... She will most likely lose her license, I dont know what its like there. But here your license doesnt become a 'real' license until after 3 years... In that time if you do shit like that... Goodbye license

I don't understand..? I honestly am offended that you guys would think that that's wrong? There are Seniors in highschool that date freshmans. I was 17 and she was 16. She turned 17 while I was still 17. I'm 18 now and she's turning 18 in july.. What's the difference? I was a senior and she was a junior when we got together..🎶Ghost🎶 wrote:

Fleeing from an accident? Yes, deserves serious consequence.
