  Maybe I'm think of respect in a different way. You don't tell a manager where he can stick his brass kazoo. And unless you have the right alliances/support you don't do that here without expecting repercussions.

  I most certainly do tell a manager where to stick his kazoo, if its warranted. The only thing I've ever experienced from standing up for myself professionally is recognition and progression. I will never be seen running around with shit on my tongue, nor would I appreciate any member of my team sucking my own star.
  I wouldn't come here throwing respect at people simply because they have a larger mob. As you know there are a few very large mobbed asshats who deserve little respect, therefore they command non. Not from me anyway.
  I acknowledge the fact larger mobs can hit me, that's a big difference to respecting the person behind it.
  But hey man, don't let me stop you wetting your tongue in aqua de hotdog springs. 👅👌😂
