Lakers owner Jerry Buss passed away this morning. I'm not a lakers fan but he was a great man and did good things for LA. He owned the lakers since 1979. RIP Jerry 🙏

RIP Jerry

I don't like the Lakers, but there's no arguing Buss was one of basketball's greatest owners ever. A true basketball fan whose desire to win helped steer the Lakers to many titles. RIP to a b-ball legend.

Maybe now the Lakers will trade someone

Very sad day.
"Lakers fans will remember Buss for bringing extraordinary success — 10 championships in three-plus decades — but equally important to his legacy was a sense of showmanship that transformed pro basketball from sport to spectacle."
"Jerry Buss helped set the league on the course it is on today," NBA Commissioner David Stern said. "Remember, he showed us it was about 'Showtime,' the notion that an arena can become the focal point for not just basketball, but entertainment. He made it the place to see and be seen."

Lamar was a good passer tho, Khloe always asked him to pass the fried chicken and a bucket of gravy she would then lap up like a dog.

Of course he is best known for his third place finish in the 1991 world series of poker $2500 seven card stud tournament.

I think I enjoyed watching him play late night high stakes cash games on tv a while back :)

Um no. Best known? 95% of the people familiar with his name have no clue he played poker. Nice try though.Of course he is best known for his third place finish in the 1991 world series of poker $2500 seven card stud tournament.

As a Laker fan this is a very sad day indeed. RIP Jerry Buss

Innovator, Entreprenuer, Visionary, Father Figure, Businessman.... Los Angels & the Laker Family should celebrate the life of this great man. No man is perfect but this man made a ripple and won't be forgotten.

He was a true Baller and deserves a lot of credit for bringing the NBA to where it is today

Sad how the death of Jerry Buss is the only thing that pushed the 🏀Lakers out of their losing streak.

considering the fact she looks like a dog made this comment much more hilarious!!Lamar was a good passer tho, Khloe always asked him to pass the fried chicken and a bucket of gravy she would then lap up like a dog.

It's not the Jerry buss its Dwight Howard and Steve Nash getting sick of Kobe's crap. Now they are actually trying. Lebron and durant are the only two stars now in my opinion. Kobe is too old and way past his prime. He can't carry his team anymore even with a great starting five.Sad how the death of Jerry Buss is the only thing that pushed the 🏀Lakers out of their losing streak.
