Deal with this situation?
Do to the snow we've had again, my wife has been driving my truck (4x4) for the last few days.
So I'm out playing poker with the boys and I get a message 'sorry babe, I've just wrapped the truck round a lamp post'.
Not a call, not I'm injured (thank fuck), just saying its well mangled!!!
I'm back home now but have walked down the road with my hands over my face so I can't see the damage!!!
I don't wanna ruin valentines day but ..........
I'm off to bed now, ill check in the morning on your words of wisdom before I go ape.
My first thought is to tear up her card but I doubt that will satisfy my rage :(
Thanks, and I look forward to reading your posts later. -
Maybe she's in shock?!
It's a truck!
Is it not insured for such things?Hug her, kiss her, tell her you're glad she's ok and that's that. The rest is all material. 👍
-
It's a £25k truck and along with my van I pay nearly £2k a year for insurance. A claim is not an option.

Listen to the song "little moments" ... And put pics on photobucket

Shouldn't have let a woman drive your car. I'll never let a woman go anywhere near my car

You need to thank god she wasn't hurt. Ripping up her valentine makes sense if you're small. -

It's just a truck dude. Be happy she wasn't hurt.

Was there icy roads? 4x4 trucks and SUVs can get around in snow and ice but are harder to stop in icy conditions. Maybe she hit ice. Maybe she hit the post to avoid an accident with another vehicle. Or maybe somebody ran her off the road. And I wouldn't care how much my vehicle cost me as long as she was ok. The repairs on the truck are cheaper than hospital bills or a funeral.

In fact you should make this valentines the best she has ever had to show that you appreciate her not being hurt or worse dead....

For some reason in my experience women always seem to wreck 4x4.
My mom wrecked her friends 4x4 on the highway few months ago, although it wasn't really her fault (oil got on the road and the car had no control), no injuries. -
First thing my dad friends husband asked was when she called him was "Is my car ok?".
They all had sooo pissed at him -

... You walked down the road with your hands over your face because you can't face the fact she accidentally hit a pole with a truck? Seems rather petty.
I can understand an initial rage, but after that your thoughts should be that it wasn't worse.... she didnt hit another vehicle, think of the incredible headache that would have been!
Be glad she's safe

1, you should probably look at the truck to make sure she's not fucking with you
2, you let her drive the truck why? Because you wanted her to be safe? What would have Happened if she wrapped her car around the pole?
-
its just a truck. shit happens. be a man and thank God she's ok.

She thinks you're gonna be more concerned about the car than you are her. That's why she never mentioned how she was, bad or good. You need to fix that. Tell her your first thought was of her, you'll be in the good books. She'll guilt herself into making it up to you for the crash.

Remind yourself why you have that ring around your finger. It's not just a decoration.
-
She probably feels like crap--physically and emotionally. It's only a truck. She's a human. They're much harder to fix. Even with insurance.
-
Tell her you'll forgive her when she punches codes and gets your mob up to 50k

I love my car.
I love my fiancé.I have a present for my fiancé.
Nothing short of death will prevent my giving it to her tonight.

For now indeed. Hopefully soon I will begin boot camp/basic training ... three months straight without my phone should be interesting 😏
P.s. I have renewed my two year old application for the Australian army, and things seem to be progressing well.
P.P.S. I did say I would be back one day, and it's been over a month since I temp. retired 😝
Hi, TW. It's good to be back 👍

Ya. In short u seem a little over dramatic and kinda like an ass
