Anyone for Cricket?
Forums › General Discussion › Anyone for Cricket?-
Cricket is a bat and ball played all around the world, by many different countries. This allows a proper 'World Cup' event, involving more than just one or two nations (so not like baseball).
Has anyone seen or heard of this strange sport.... -

Yea I'm English, I don't watch cricket and I'm not really interested in it but around last summer for dome reason I got interested in it but it died by the end of summer.

It's a game that can be played for 5 days (called a test), of which 5 are played, to make a 'series' (so up to 25 days of play), and it can still be a Draw!
-
It can be a draw if one team sets a milestone of points in bating let's say 540 and the other team comes into bat but doesn't reach this score But lasts for the rest of the test without getting all out then it is a draw.

Man, I play cricket but would never dream of starting a thread about it, whole can of worms trying to explain it to our friends across the pond. I take it you play bazboffer?
Incidentally cricket is the third most participated sport in the world
after football (soccer) and Rugby. (if you don't include fishing).Over 100,000 people turn up at the MCG (melbourne cricket ground) to watch the boxing day test match between Australia and England.

Rugby is the best , I'm hoping 2 one day play proffesional 😋

No I don't play cricket, and I'm not even a huge fan of it. Just thought it would be funny to see what our 'friends over the pond' would make of it. Turns out no one wanted to comment about something they knew nothing about, for a change! Lol ;)
