Calling anyone with hair loss...
Forums › General Discussion › Calling anyone with hair loss...-
Anyone around my age (30), older, or anyone that has hair loss or hair thinning issues for that matter. Have tried the product called Nioxin? I bought it Monday and I'm on day 3 of useing it. It's a bit pricey for the kit which contains shampoo, conditioner, then a sculpting treatment. I'm just curious to know if anyone has tried this, and had good results. Or if you have tried somthing else that did work. I don't care about the price, just the results. Thanks

Lol You're a baldy? Try some Tequila

I did propecia for 3 years and it worked awesome 9 bucks a month. Use that and nizoral shampoo and you'll keep your hair.
-
I use a Mach 3 razor and some Edge shaving gel. It helps keep that pesky thinning thinned out to the max! LOL
-
I take it propecia & nizoral are 2 separate products all together? You pay $9 a month, did they have you sign up for a year at a time? I'm not bald, but I'm getting very thin and receding that started in my early 20's.

Nioxin is good. I used it once because I wanted thicker hair. It's the biotin in the product that is good for hair. I suggest getting to the root of the problem though. (See what I did there?) go to the vitamin section of wherever you shop and pick up the vitamin for skin, hair, and nails. I use spring valley. It has a ton of biotin in it and makes hair grow amazingly.

Bacon grease, nuff said.

Unless your head is horridly misshaped, shave it all off.

Propecia is a pill you need to get a prescription for. You walk into doc and say hey doc, I have hair loss and want to try propecia, they say ok and write the script. $9. Nizoral is a dandruff shampoo that has been shown to slow or stop hair loss. You can buy 1% at Walmart for $16 or get a prescription for 2% for $30.

Just grow the sides really long then comb it over. Job done!

I'm 23 and receiding, I figure by 30 I'll just get a tiger tattooed on my head and buy a harley to make up for it lol
-
I'm 22 and have kinda bad widows peak. I just keep my hair shorter and it's not to bad looking
-
32 - the secret to dealing with a receding hair line is by cutting it shorter and shorter, and finally getting a very thin buzz cut or just Biccing it completely. Don't take pills and creams that mess with your hormones and liver. Any cream that says "Pregnant women should not handle" for fear of birth defects should probably not be lathered all over the skin closest to your brain - that's just my two cents.

I had to take a medication once (chemo) for Crohn's disease that caused hair loss. I used Nioxin as well and I have to admit that it really worked for me. And I second Nicole's advice to add vitamins/minerals as well. That treats folicles at the root where all the real work is done.

I've never been one to go try these new "techniques" persay, and I have kept it somewhat short these past few years. Allready planning on directly shaving it all together. I have been reading on this stuff, but it seems there so much out there, and probably more then half is a scam, but if I can find somthing that works. I'm willing to try it to gain a few more years having hair.

Interesting, I'm sorry for what you went through. So with the Nioxin did you find it actually grew hair back, or did it "thicken" the follicles?I had to take a medication once (chemo) for Crohn's disease that caused hair loss. Buy some good clippers, a hand mirror, and shave it dude. I did it at 30 and haven't looked back.
Remember: The less hair you have, the more head you get. ✊

Have a cow lick the top of your head repeatedly

I'm glad all my hair is still there. It may be turning grey, but it's all there.

I lost a hair once.......

Shave it and get a tribal tattoo on your head.

I started going bald (just on top) at 14 :( I've since accepted the fact I won't be able to grow my long silky smooth hair back 😜 and just shave my head all the time. I thought about trying something as I do miss having a full head of hair.....and honestly am still embarrassed by my baldness. I wear a hat everytime I leave the house. But I've never gone further then just thinking about trying something 😂 procrastination a bitch hahaha
