🚗Any Hot Wheels collectors?🚗
Forums › General Discussion › 🚗Any Hot Wheels collectors?🚗-
I ask because when I was younger, I won a drawing contest and won the entire 2002 114 car set. I don't really want to sell them(yet), but it would be neat to see the value some of them have gained in the past 11 years.
Does anyone know somewhere I may be able to take them to get them...appraised? Or a good website to check values? I've done a bit of research online, but the values vary so much that it's hard to get a concrete answer. Any insight is much appreciated 👍

Picasso, are they still packaged? There are several trade magazines like AFN's toy review. However in reality they are only worth what you would be willing to sell them for or what someone else would be willing to pay. As for a baseline price, it mainly depends on packaging condition, rarity of distribution, and collectibility in the series. For example; hot wheels made a ton of A-team vans. However, most were instantly torn open and played with. To find one is common, to find one unopened is rare. Factors like these may affect each individual car.....

All are still in their original boxes, and have been in a plastic storage tub for almost the entirety of 11 years. Theres 1 car that somehow managed to completely flip upside down in the package. This is very sound advice. A lot rides on the packaging and rarity with toys. But when I was a child EVERY toy got ripped opened and played with. It amazes me when you see some 60 year old toys in the original unopened packaging.Picasso, are they still packaged? There are several trade magazines like AFN's toy review. Lol, Dc I found an assortment of old toys in a distribution warehouse that never got cleaned out and it was set for demo. A lot of the figures were old Marx™ soft plastic figures that hadn't seen the light of day in 50+ years. One in particular caught my eye. Turns out it was in a series called "nutty mads" and was very rare as most were chewed up by kids or pets. I loaded them up and sold them all at a toy show in Indianapolis. I got about $700 for all of it. Except the nutty mad series which I kept....

I know that you added "yet" to your post but every year that they are older the better price stuff usually gets, do if you aren't hard up for money why sell. But I'm sure you are curious and plan on keepin them for a long while.

The set is worth $6 but I'll give you $10 because I like art. 😉I ask because when I was younger, I won a drawing contest and won the entire 2002 114 car set. I don't really want to sell them(yet), but it would be neat to see the value some of them have gained in the past 11 years.
