Besides that video being idiotic .Very low budget lol. -
The Japanese were very effective at repelling us in the pacific battles really its entirely possible that a greater amount of lives than those lost in those bombings could have been lost. Also the presidents first responsibility should be to the people he governs and though that was a genocide they were not americans and his first priority was to the soldiers out in those battles and all the American public

Fuck north korea. They cant do shit except crash rockets into the yellow sea. They talk shit but they cant do shit. Basically Iran #2.

Genocide. Hahaha. The Japanese were the ones who were committing genocide in WWII, along with their allies the Germans. Not the USA. The a-bombs STOPPED further genocide. It was a military maneuver, meant to win the war, not exterminate the enemy. The entire war was an instance of Total War. Even civilians were not innocent. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not just cities full of peaceful civilians, they were industrial centres that were churning out bullets, bombs, and tanks. Germans bombed Britain, the whole thing, not just military targets. Britain bombed Germany, same story. Russians razed entire cities. The a-bombs were just a quicker method to blow shit up. And the truth is, the Japanese had an atomic program, too. You think they were just trying to build an atomic bomb for funsies? Fuck no, they were gonna drop that shit on Washington if they got the chance.

"Do you realize the facts you got are from a blog?"- Abraham Lincoln said that during his Gettysburg speech😁. Even if the facts were correct, it is entirely false that they would have surrendered. Before the first bomb, we ask for a surrender or they would be bombed. After that bomb we asked again. Then a third and final time we asked and they debated over wether or not to accept this for a few days! Also might i add the kamakazi planes, they believed suicide was better than surrender.A little short history lesson for the sheple out there- peace E.

@Aubergine point well made. And to go further with my views on what Aub said. No offense to any nation out there. But in my eyes do we want to be on the giving end or the receiving end of an atomic bomb. If any other nation were in our position what would they do? Don't actually answer that last question cuz nobody knows but just think it over. War is ugly, war is brutal. We Americans should be happy we haven't had war on our soil since the civil war. It is bad about the bombing but right or wrong and for whatever reason those in charge made a call for the betterment of america in the future.

Short ,simple and well written by a colleague. Didn't want you to have to read a history book or take a history class.

Am I the only one who feels really sad, sorry and empty for how behind the North Koreans are in technology?
Like they generally believe that is advanced but over here it's 50 years old.It makes me feel... Bad for then.

Actually, American warships blew up a Japanese submarine very shortly before the Pearl Harbor raid. Just sayin'

The sub was sunk just outside pearl less than 2 hours before the Japanese planes attacked. Clearly the sub was part of the attack. -

Japan murdered up to 10 million civilians between 1937 and 1945, total potential casualties if the allies had invaded Japan would be up to 14 million.... total killed by both atomic bombs, maximum 250 000.... Seems like simple maths to me...

It graphically documents the systematic destruction of the people of Nanking, and the city itself, by the Japanese.
It is very disturbing, and reveals some of worst of humanity. It also sheds some light on the little discussed war crimes the Japanese committed during WWII. The crime Germany committed are well documented and widely recognized, many forget, or don't know, the Japanese were equally as brutal to the people they defeated.

World war 2 was 70 years ago. Some people in this thread need to get rid of their grudge...

I read a summery of the book. My stomache is literally rolling. It had no reason or rhyme to it. It was just chaos...

The problem begins with the thread title, the rest of the stupidity seems to have come naturally!
When all that nonsense surrounding the Allah cartoons caused mass protest, flag burning etc... We all thought they were just crazy terrorists looking for a fight. I mean, how can they honestly believe the actions of one man drawing a picture is the work of western culture as a whole. Talk about over reacting huh?
Anyone failing to see the comparison?
WWII... Seriously?
Sorry, there's a bandwagon of pitchforkers on its way, I need to be on it... 🏃
