Concealed carry people
Forums › General Discussion › Concealed carry people-
I've been looking for a smaller, more comfortable carry gun and just picked up a bersa thunder cc. Seems like a great gun and I love the way it feels in my hands.
Now it's time to start the holster search all over again. I've been using an N82 holster and really like it, I'm most likely going to get another. But before I did that I wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions.
I do want to stick with iwb, and I want something that's easy to put on and take off. Most importantly it needs to be comfortable and retention is always a consideration, although I don't think I need a locking device. Friction has worked in the past. I'm not doing cart wheels or any parkor, I'd break myself if I tried.
Any thoughts!, or anything I should consider?

Crossbreedholsters great retention and in my opinion comfortable.
May I ask why a Bersa? -

May I ask why a Bersa?I wanted a Taurus tcp for days I don't want to carry a large "compact" pistol. I went in planning on buying one and they were out. The guy behind the counter handed me the bersa and I instantly fell in love with it. It's big for a 380. In my opinion something that size should be a 9mm, although it would be a very small 9mm. It is just a little smaller than a shield, which I want but can't find.
The bersa is similar to a PPK, that's hard to not like. I really think there are better guns out there if you buy based on specs, but there is just something that I like about this gun.

I am left handed so it's extremely hard to find a holster.
My .380 Bodygaurd iwb holster is made by D.M.Bullard in Azle, Texas. It's leather and fits better than any holster I have had for that gun.
I bought a iwb Galco leather holster for my compact 1911. It has 2 clips on it so the only part I feel is the leather holster, not the impression of the weapon. It works pretty well.

Crossbreed makes a single clip holster.
I currently carry a walther pps in a supertuck everyday all day and it works for me. -

There are so many different options it depends on alot of stuff, I move around alot so while in warmer climates I carry my subcompact Springfield xd, it colder climates where I can get away with bulkier clothing I carry my Springfield range officer 1911, my personal opinion is I want to carry the biggest caliber/barel length that is still light and can be concealed comfortably. While others like to carry the smallest most lightweight gun they can regardless of where they are or what they are wearing, if you're looking for something small lightweight and reliable the bodyguard is very nice, I could carry it with an inside the pocket holster no problem

Crossbreed for me 100%
-
I might order one of the single strap crossbreeds, I had no idea they made that.
In the mean time I ordered another n82, it's a good price and I know it's comfortable.
Mason, take a look at n82, they make everything in left hand and the basic elastic style does a better job at retention than I would have thought.

Unfortunately, in most parts of the United States, it is illegal to carry your people concealed. However, in indiana, it is illegal to brandish your people. Just be sure to hand the officer your people permit if you get pulled over, and keep both hands on the wheel until he instructs you otherwise....Hmmm. I read this as "Carrying concealed people" 😱

I am about to get my CCW. I am planning on carrying a Kahr TP9 (or TP45 as I have both and surprisingly can conceal carry a full size .45) and using a belly band holster. I wear a lot of scrub pants and tshirts so that works well with a groin carry with the belly band. I am looking into the Bulldog brand but havent gotten anything but the belly band that Kahr sells on their website.

I agree w/ that. The solution I have found is to wear the pistol lower and sag your pants. Fortunately I look like I'm sagging even when I'm wearing my pants at my armpits due to my height and leg size. LOL😡ҝعყʂعཞ😈Տȫƶع😡 wrote:

Could take a look at a Thunderwear holster. Might be more comfortable than a belly holster if you don't mind your weapon pointing at your junk.😡ҝعყʂعཞ😈Տȫƶع😡 wrote:

Great for most cars. I drive a MINI. 😒 I'm thinking of mounting a holster to the center console next to my shift and keeping a second pistol in the holster (lock box when exiting the vehicle)

Just started reading Massad Ayoob's Gun digest Book of Concealed Carry. He seems legit. Has been expert witness on cases and written a number of books. Also runs Lethal Force Institute in Connecticut. Anyone taken a class there?!?

Get the euro parcel shelf for your mini, would be a good place to mount a holster.

I like the feel of the fobus holster a little bulky but the gun stays put and releases clean when you need it. I recently purchased an FNX 9mm for carry. Nice easy trigger pull DA/SA it also has ambi safety if you want to carry it cocked and locked. Oh did I mention 17+1. If the SHTF it's a nice go to. IMO of course.

I get a lot of ideas from magpull. But with my car I have my E-brake next to my door so I just slide it there and I normally just use a inside holster (inside your pants) but when open carry I stick with Blackhawks (you have to push a button to get it out), can be I comfy but in the right spot awesome. I also sometimes use behind the back holsters. I also keep a little dinky .38 snub nose as a back up on my ankle.

Is everyone, everywhere in the US out buying guns? Every store in Nevada is out of inventory( handguns). Two stores closed completely.. No sense in being open when their gun shipments are not coming in.
