I feel that new players such as me and many others really have no chance of becoming one of the top mob counts or influence seeing as those who have been playing for a while have such a huge head start on other players. The only way we could catch up is if all the large players stopped punching which is quite unlikely. I'm curious as to everyone else's opinion on this.

The way I see it is like this..... Games been going for three years and if you look around there's godfathers at 5k and less and also players like Micky Dunn at the top of the TW tree at 80k! Some players punch some don't, the real question is in 3yrs do you want to be high mob or low? Every single player here plays their own game, some want to be big and others do enough to have fun and that my friend is the only question you need to ask yourself what do YOU want from this game? I've been playing for about 4 months now and for me the big boys an girls are the target to reach! I might do this I might not but I won't stop trying cos that's my personal goal.

I thought the way you did a year ago but consistent punching and knowing what you want and how you want to play is key in being a factor in this game.

How long ago was it? Maybe icm wasn't as full...?

I can't remember but I heard that he punched it all there(there was a thread about it) maybe it was a week. But my main point was that it is possible to catch up and be up there with some of the vets if you put effort into it. But I haven't been active for a while so sorry for the error.

Casual players can never compete with long time players or hardcore players. That's how all MMO type games work.
Everything's based on numbers.
With high enough numbers you're invincible. Its just the inevitable. Maybe they're mote subtle, but I don't hear people crying in other any of the RPG/FPS i play, the top players are the top, that's how it is.

the longer a top player plays, the bigger the gap from the new players looks. You may not make all the leader boards, but with the right outlook and motivation, you can close alot of that gap.
