So late at night there have been loud jet roars for about a week. Our local coloniol (spell right because my iphone is flipping out with some bug) doesent know (or just won't say) who or why the jets are flying over. If you google KTVB our local news station you can probably find the article from about 4 days ago.

What do you think?

They are most prob just training.

Last year I had chinooks fly their rounds at night over my house In prep for afghan, that kept me up for some time.

I had a fighter jet fly right overtop me two days ago. Fast, loud, and very very low...wish I got a picture of it but didn't think fast enough.

A day and a half ago I noticed a plane pretty much hovering over a few local corn fields . I had just got done with work and it was about 430 -5 am est . It was still dark and couldn't really see what type of plane. But it was really odd to see it hovering like that or moving at a slow enough speed to make it look like it was hovering .

They'll be testing the water to see how observant the public actually are. How many actual complaints are received and how much 'chatter' is generated by unusual flight activity. This is preliminary testing before the full time domestic drone patrols, so they can determine ideal operational parameters to minimise public backlash.
