So there I was......

So there I was, happily relaxing after a bad day in work from being shouted at customers and all of a sudden my day brightened up for there on TV was one of my customers.
The same customer who has spent the last week telling me how great at driving he is and how he couldn't of possibly worn out his clutch and gearbox on his 4 year old car and it must be a defect of the car and not his.
I almost took pity on him and almost went back to the manufacturer of his vehicle until I saw him last night.
On TV.
On one if those "Worst Driver" programmes being awarded a 10/10 for being the worst they have ever had....
Motherfuckingkarma and there's £1,600 to be paid now...

I'm glad it's not just my customers. I have one guy who can go through a clutch every 6 months and a gearbox every 18, on a ducato, 7 hour job every time, last bill £1,600.
He still claims it not his fault, even though his wife agrees he's a terrible driver. -
Does the DMF fail due to poor footwork?
-
I remember speaking with a mechanic once who was replacing the brake pads on a car every 3 months. After doing this 4 times he followed her home and identified that she drove her automatic car with her left foot permanently on the brake pedal. (Note in Australia we have Right Hand Drive vehicles as we drive on the right side of the road)

When i brought my latest car back, the head mechanic came over to me and with a straight face told me i could t drive at all, as my gearbox broke down on a brand new car after only 17.000 km. He even started cursing at me at some point, but i didnt take the bait.
I only stated this:
Tell me mate, how come that the 2 previous cars i bought here didnt suffer from the same breakdown? How come that one had 250.000 km and the other 389.000 km without any problems?
It shutted him up and he left... Aftrr an hour i drove my car out of that garage and noticed instantly something was wrong. Turns out he "forgot" to put back a bolt or two, and thereby making sure i would have been back sooner than i thought. Filed a complaint, took pictures. He got fired, not because of me alone, but 6 other peoe had complaints about him aswell that very same week -

We've had very few dmf failures. Worn out, yes, but not loss of drive. The biggest problem is the grey dust of death clogging the starters.Does the DMF fail due to poor footwork?
I have noticed that 6 speed boxes are much less reliable than fives. Bearings must be smaller...
