If you have Java installed on your PC experts are recommending that you uninstall or disable it.
I just spent 5 days trying to recover my PC from a Trojan virus that got onto my PC as a result of the Zero Day Java vulnerability.
I recommend that you google the above and follow the advice if the experts.

I was told by my buddy who runs a computer shop java is perfectly safe as long as you have the latest version.

If there was something this serious affecting java, without a little user negligence, Sun Microsystems would probably have a fix rolled out the same day.

With a zero day exploit there is no fix yet but the exploit is in the wild allready... Thats why it is zero day... What u can do best is keep everything updates.. Choose a virusscanner to your liking ( i like ms security essentials ) and stay away from hacking and porn sites.. If u have to go at such a site use a virtual machine or linux...

Disabled my java on all browsers a few weeks ago once I saw it on the news. Deleted Java 7 completely just in case. Sadly it affected my laptop. Wouldn't last a good 10 minutes without turning off on its own 😔

Many of the tech websites are reporting that the latest release of Java doesn't fix the vulnerability.
