If you want to argue definitions then fnord is correct. Racism is institutionalised prejudice. Semantics.

Now tell that white person to walk thru Compton or Harlem and see what happens. This thread's purpose is to eliminate ignorance among the younger generations concerning the issue of racial prejudice:
White people, look at your hand; that pigmentation is the same as the pigmentation in the skin of blacks. The only difference is they have more of that pigmentation.
I know most of you know this, and I apologize for simplifying it as much as I did.
To all of you younger generations: There is no "inferior race" in this world. I could go on, and on in this subject, but I believe I've made my initial point.

Stereotypes are racism and do stem from hate. Attempts to dehumanize another race makes it easier to steal their stuff and supports your own idea of superiority.

Mojopilot, you too are young or sheltered. Do you even know what reparations are?
-
Who is this "them" that you speak of? What reparations have been repaid? I'm sorry I guess I missed my 40 acres and a mule? Can you piece together my family tree?...I think not. Sooo by reparations do you refer to welfare? Every American citizen can receive that. If that's the case...why do I have to pay for it? I don't have hatred towards Any other nationalities. You can find me In a honky tonk bar, a ghetto club, or an upscale establishment. I get along with all walks of people in this world. I was taught by my Grammy " the devil can pass you on the steet and you can still say hello and keep moving." I am wondering how you can speak for me...seeing that I am part of the "black community" or "them" as you put it.

You have no idea how old I am or what I've seen. I do know what reparations are. Currently they are offered in the form of opportunity. We have race specific scholarships for every race under the sun but white. That obviously doesn't mean a white person can't get a scholarship, but there are are numerous programs out there that give money for education to one specific race. Black being a common criteria.
We have a thing called equal opportunity that while great in concept forces employers to have a culturally diverse workforce despite employee qualification.
Those are opportunity based reperations, a free education or a job is slated for a black person and no one else can have it. I'm ok with it, it's teaching someone to fish rather than giving them a fish. But it is reperations.
-
Oh, you're just ignorant to what reparations are. While I'm almost sure you won't, you should at least google it. America has a long poisonous history, and it'll take an action stronger then affirmative to cure it.
-
I'm not gonna waste the time to explain to you why "the equal opportunity employment act was put into place. You would not understand judging by your sheltered comments. I would just ask that you don't speak for The Black Community. I put myself through college working a full time job. Luckily I received a very good education growing up and didn't need a scholarship. Hopefully it went to someone else who wasn't lucky enough to have the luxury of a good education.

The South? Black, white, yellow, red, whatever color... We all get along down here! It's the few backwoods, rebel flag waving idiots that ruin it for us. I don't see racism much at all around here. When people do butt heads though it gets flipped into some racsist bullshit story. "White kid punches black kid." Ahhhh. It must be a hate crime!!!! That's all I ever hear. I'm getting tired of it. It's always the ignorant, uneducated people that cry "hate crime".

Mojo,
A very short google search will turn up scholarships for every nationality living in the US. Even Mayflower descendants, as well as non specific scholarships. Your assertion that African Americans are disproportionally served is false.

Yay, yet another thread with a good meaning about to be deleted. 😒

Just to keep it an even keel the same in reverse applies as well. It's who you are and the person you want to become that is important not what you look like but how you act
