Main reason why I did this is that you can stream all video formats, not only itunes store rentals. For the rest I just stream a lot of stuff to it with my iPhone.

That's the main reason I did. Got tired of having to convert videos.

I use Firecore. Costs a couple of $$$, but worth it imo.
