Joe was my dog. I've had him sence he was a puppy and died at 11(77). He was the only dog that I've had.

It's gonna hurt man! Had my dog for 15 years he passed away before I could say good bye. A few months have passed and I rescued a pup on Craigslist it made me feel a lot better he is such an amazing dog.

Pets can be like a blood family member. Sorry for ur loss and I know how u are feeling. Did it just happen out of no where or was he/she sick?

He was getting slower, but we thought that was just old age.

The worst part of animals is the last time you spend with them. My dog suffered from lymphoma before we put him down. It was awful seeing him suffer from the side effects. Blindness, aggitation and pure misery. I know how it feels but it happens. 😔

I know how you feel, my last dog I had from the age of 7years old, through to 19.

One night I had been out with my family... We got home like normal, let the dog out and he didn't come in. We spotted the pool cover had moved... My dad jumped in, got the dog out and between my, my dad and my brother (2 years older than me) we tried to bring him back... But couldn't do it.

To this day, although people close to me have passed and I would say I am not an emotional person, the thought of that 5 years on still cuts right through me more than any other moment of my life so far.
