Just got a patient complaining of Chest pain in the ER. Got a ton of drugs. Asked for Demerol and phenergan and got it. Admit orders written and brought to her room on a cardio floor (taking our last bed at that). I do my admission paperwork and her husband asks if she can get more pain meds because her vaginal herpes outbreak hurts. No chest pain. Just vaginal pain. My boss is going to positively shit a ton of bricks.

It surprises me the lack of common decency and selfishness that is so widespread in society today.
Hope they get the message somehow and change.

I've heard of people deliberately causing themselves harm to be able to be admitted to a hospital just because they ate their whole bottle of prescription drugs. It's a man-made problem. Best of luck at your job Keyser! 👍👍👍
