Ok, so I've been learning to play the guitar for a couple of months and love the riffs and solos so what is you favourite top 3 guitar riffs or solo's?? Mine are....
1. Sweet child of mine
2.whisky in the jar (thin Lizzy)
3.either jumping jack flash by the rolling stones or seven nation army by the white stripes.

Self taught or tutor? I'm thinking about learning acoustic or bass.
Would love to play a couple oasis songs.

Anyone try rocksmith? Did it actually help you? Crappy songs but a cool idea.

Oh yea if you look up American dad the BFF episode at the end when Snot was playin the air guitar....idont know the name of the song but that was the sickest shyt ineva heard....igotta find the name of the song and download that particular version.

There's a fella on you tube called Marty Schwartz I think that's how it's spelt. He has good lessons on video.

Yeah I got rocksmith, it's actually really good. Forces you to learn, a friend of mine has been using it and he has full songs learned already.. From a very average guitar player to now being actually able to play lol

Megadeths solos are pretty sick. But to be honest, All guitar players have their own style and being a fellow musician myself, i appreciate all music, all styles of play

There are loads I could name, honestly it depends on what mood I'm in.
For riffs:
Slipknot - surfacing.
Metallica - master of puppets

Solo's:
Metallica - one

Allot of the time I don't play other people's stuff, I try to do my own thing :-)

I would love to be able to play like Michael Angelo Batio.

not tht it's too important, but since im such a music nerd, i need to point out that david gilmour did the solo in comfortably numb, not roger waters.
