Why does a round pizza come in a square box?

More importantly, why is bread square and most deli meats round? Heard this one from homer, or was it Peter griffin?

Question
1. Easier to stack on top, and it's easier to fold.
Question 2. Um... What was the question? I don't feel like looking back and retyping this. Then again I can copy and paste. Fine... fuck it.
Oh ya, 24/7 stores have locks because that's what door comes with... Duh... And maybe for the few times it is closed like maybe a holiday or something.
Question 3.
They do make round bread, we buy it from our deli place. -
Better answer for # 3
It's more of a saving money thing, bread is cheaper than meat, so they make more of that and less of the meat or cheese and they charge the same price. It's like chip company's make big bags for a cheap price so you'd think your getting a fair deal, but they are never full, they trick you! -

Another answer for # 3..... Agh my fingers hurt.
Most meat cuts, expect steaks and chops are cut out round. The round part is the higher quality good meat they sell for a higher price, for the corners they grind it up and sell it for a cheaper lower quality meat. When the deli/company gets the meat. Why cut the edges and waste good quality meat? That's the reason why they keep it round.
Also bread is usually rectangle shape (they do make different shapes) is because rectangle is the shape that can fit the most amount of rectangle holes (where the dough goes into) into the baking tray.

👆👆👆But cardboard comes in sheets, all the off cuts to make the box round whilst recyclable would result in the same amount of cardboard being used to make a round box as a square box.
And folding a circle from a flat sheet of cardboard, would take longer to fold in to the box - yes less sides but more fiddly
And that's if it is possible - I think closest you can get to a circle is a hexagon, pentagon

The reason pizza comes in square boxes is for delivering, the cardboard comes in sheets to the restaurant, with square sheets you can pack them all in and they won't slide around. If they were circles they would slide around and you would have to put more twine on them wasting money. They are also square because you don't want you pizza sliding around in the back of the delivery guys car, with squares you can lock them together so they won't slide

It would be much less efficient to store round boxes (lots of wasted space)
-
Are there even any other reasons for round boxes?
-
The square box gives for more room to put the extras in the box and better support when you have several pizzas to stack together.
-
Use a triangular box. That way you can transport twice as many pizzas. (2 triangles = a square)
