A year has passed since my mother died and I recall the tremendous support this community gave me at that difficult time.

On the day of her funeral I opened a remembrance thread for us to share our thoughts and prayers for those that we have lost.

Today, I start another thread to allow us to do the same.

I remember outing my uncle Rex as the guy who played Santa Claus at the church. He died of cancer 3 years ago.

For all those people we have known and cared about who have passed away in the last few years.

I lost five men from my regiment in Iraq in Operation Desert Storm. I remember them every year.
