  It's true, look at music before them, then after. They made a lot of bands sound very old, very quick. And inspired a new genre of rock music. You don't have to like them but its a fact. 🎸

  Actually karas, he's right. Nirvana pretty much started the grunge movement, which nearly killed off thrash metal. Many bands split or changed their sound because of nirvana getting so popular so quickly. Never was a big fan of the grunge sound and stuck with stuff like overkill, testament, slayer, cannibal corpse, morbid angel, obituary, and other thrash and death metal bands in that era.

  I do like them, but they weren't the change in music that you all believe. There were bands doing it before Nirvana. They only became "big" because of Cobain's tragic death.

  Karas, youre wrong on this one buddy. Nevermind was arguably the most influential album of the 90s in mainstream rock. Nirvana led the Seattle grunge scene and made it popular for so many mode bands to find success: Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, etc etc. He didn't cap himself until 3 years after that album was released.
