The Departed is a cheesy ripoff of the Whitey Bulger story with stale and shallow character development and a plot that doesn't know when it's over. The only good parts of The Departed were the scenes with Alec Baldwin and Marky Mark.

I'm a bit heartbroken that no one has mentioned Ferris Bueller's day off.

Man On Wire
Tightrope walk between WTC 1 & 2? Dude is nuts, but it's just so damn cool. Plays out like a heist movie. The Professional
Jean Reno plays Leon, a "cleaner". Has one of the most satisfying endings I can recall. Also stars Natalie Portman and Gary Oldman.RAN
Akira Kurosawa directs a retelling of King Lear set in feudal Japan. Get the remastered version put out by Criterion and watch it on the biggest screen you can. It's in Japanese with English subtitles. -
I forgot to mention Ferris Bueller's Day Off. (Just for you, Trauger). ☺
-
Finding Neverland with Johnny Depp.. I'm a Peter Pan freak.. Also, Hook. Gunna go watch those and cry myself to sleep now. 😪

Ooo, leon. About a top hitman who cares for a 12 year old girl (natalie Portman) after her parents are killed by druggie cozzers. Top movie.
Also nil by mouth featuring ray winstone and Gary oldman. About the estate where I grew up in south London. Hard hitting movie
