Eh, to each his own...Some people enjoy watching it...Just as some enjoy watching golf. 😖Sorry to my british mates, but I just don't get soccer. The refs will keep the time and tell you when it's over, in the meantime just run back and forth with this little white ball for a few hours."
American football seems to have a lot more strategy, more competitive athleticism, it requires brains and brawn (not just the ability to run a 10k every game), and every down is an exciting play. I'm sure it's a cultural thing, but to me watching soccer is like watching a marathon. 💤💤💤 -

Take away the padding and you have rugby.

You can't compare football to American football, they're two different sports.
Rugby vs American football is a good comparison, similar style of play yet in one they have "body armour" and in the other they have balls.

Are we really talking about this? Shame on everyone that says one is better than the other. It's an opinion. If you don't like it, then don't watch it. But don't start a fucking war because you think, that we actually care, about which "football" you think is better. -
I agree Rugby players have balls. But let's not call sporting Americans pussies just yet. In my opinion, the sport that requires the most balls (ironically) uses a puck. And American/Canadian hockey is a lot more ballsy than Euro-Russian hockey. Bring back the NHL! Go Bruins! 🎱. Wait. 💣. Holy fuck there's no hockey puck emoji. 😨

Actually football has strategy and takes much more skill I would say than American football. You have an attacking team a defence team and a kicker who comes on every so often. It's not just kick the the ball around a field and run a marathon. I personoly think hand eggs ok but when I get exited and I see somebody run for a touch down and then he gets takled you have to then stop wait for people to measure how far he went sum up tacticts and it restarts. -

Okay i personally am a soccer fan but football is great sport the rush you get when you cross that TD line is all the same as scoring a goal in soccer. It's holds strategy and keeps you thinking soccer is the same calculating passes and dribbles take this from an athlete all sports are great it all depends on your opinion.
-
I like American football more because there is more action and in soccer they don't score very often.

In the American English dictionary.Look up "Football" in the dictionary, and tell me if you can see the line where it says "British term for Soccer"
If you look in an English dictionary for 'American Football', it says 'pansy rugby'. Fact. -
Why is American football called football when only two people touch the ball with their foot? Should soccer be called handball because only two people get to touch the ball with their hands?

Actually netball and basketball are quite different. They have different rules and a different gameplay style - besides the obvious lack of any backboard on netball rings.🌾ᏦᎻᎪᏞ🌾 wrote:

Rugby is also not football - it's rugby.
Football is football, with an egg-like shaped ball. We call it AFL here in Australia: Australian Football League.

That would be "foot and hand and homoerotic shower shenanigans after the game ball".
It's a bit of a mouthful. But then what happens in the shower stays in the shower.

The term 'Soccer' was invented by a British guy. Just saying.

Note that America is an extremely backwards country.
