American Honors?
Forums › General Discussion › American Honors?-
The college that I attend sent me an email encouraging me to apply for the program. I had to write a short essay so please tell me what you think.

I have strong personal and professional goals that are self-satisfying and rather fulfilling just to think about. There is nothing more that I would want to prioritize than what goals I have set in stone already. From my further education and the instruction I could get from a four year institute, to what is my dream job; I have what it takes to acquire these tasks.
The most important goal that is both personal and professional is my educational goals. While I was not aware of the importance of what education is in the past, my career goals and life experience has lectured me otherwise. My educational goals are going to enable all of my other goals. With the help of American Honors at Ivy Tech I will pull through the longevity with satisfaction and recognition. -
Secondly, but only because it falls second in queue of my road to success, my career goals are a luxury that I choose to not take for granted. Many people try to accomplish this but let obstacles hold them back. A career is not only an everyday job but it provides personal satisfaction within your life.
Lastly, my financial goals are what drive me to follow through with my other equal but more in progress goals. I strive to achieve not only stability but also financial freedom. After all is said and done my fiscal security is always the prerequisite. -
I fully understand that my goals may not come to me with no difficulty. They also may not feel progressive at times: like the first year after school that I am trying to get my career up and running or the years between dreamer and entrepreneur where financial freedom is still just a goal. I will keep a remote mind set so I can remind myself that every step is important no matter how insignificant it may seem. I know I have what it takes to achieve my goals.

Just a little thing, if your going to say lastly end it quickly. You have another paragraph after it which means its not "lastly"

It can be used that way, but one of my old English teachers told me that she hated it when people do that(after i did it) and that it's a pet peeve of many English teachers. I don't believe it is incorrect in the techinical sense but hey might as well make the teachers happy.jcisabeast wrote:
