As some of you know, I work as a firefighter. In the last week we have had 2 fires that were caused by candles. One person left to a movie & the other fell asleep. Nobody was killed, but it could have been bad. Please be careful & remember to always have your candles on a nonflammable surface & away from drapes & other objects. Never leave them unattended. It seems like we always get more fires around the holidays. While I'm at it; keep blankets away from space heaters & any heat source away from Christmas decorations/ trees. If you didn't change your battery in your smoke detectors (u do have them, right?) when you changed your clocks then do it now. I have never been to a fire fatality where there was a working smoke detector. Happy holidays & stay safe. π

Great advice bro.
I too am on the job, we tell people to be SAFE:
S-smoke alarms.
A-appliances are unplugged.
F-family escape plan.
E-extinguish candles and cigarettes.Merry Christmas one and all.
