It does, I check off codes that send an invite and then 60 days later it gets deleted. Delete the code, if according to you "the vast majority of which are never accepted. " then why am I punching them, delete them. Who cares about inactive customers, your active ones are the ones who are wasting their time. I dont care if the code is still reserved for when and if they come back. I personally will no longer be punching older codes. Really players returning should change their code to get it bumped to the top anyways.Just to clarify, this maintenance will remove only pending invites that are older than 60 days, the vast majority of which are never accepted. To our knowledge, this won't affect any code sites – it's old invites that are expiring, not the codes.

I'm more concern about what I'm going to do during the down time. Maybe sleep a little?

Will they be purged regularly, or is this a once a year thing?

The last time was approximately 8 1/2 months ago, so it will probably be more than once a year. Will they be purged regularly, or is this a once a year thing?

Maybe 60 was his lucky number or something

I don't want to punch codes that get deleted! Blaaahhhhh! It makes no sense to me to keep them active if you are purging invites. Why keep them active, let them log in and reactivate, everyone wins.

In TW, codes aren't active or inactive. Codes are valid or invalid. Players are active or inactive. I now know the way it works, before I didn't know codes were purged because I was not informed. I am now being told that codes are purged. I don't agree with this because it is actually a waste of time, even according to Nick the vast majority never accept. If you have to purge them that means there is an issue with they way it works now. I see this as a quick easy fix to a problem. It might fix the issue for the server space, but I spent time punching those codes that are getting purged. Why not delete them? What is the downside to that? Would you punch codes that would be purged if you knew which ones would be and wouldn't?

@Mayhem - every player has a code. They are assigned one when they get the game. Having a player without a code doesn't make sense. It would probably require more resources to write something tracking when a player is active versus inactive, then deleting a player's code when he's inactive, and reissuing a code when he becomes active again. Depending on what nick would define as inactive, some players would go back & forth between being active & inactive a lot.
Deleting custom codes wouldn't be cool either, since many players actually spent real money on them (especially before the 5 free don points a day existed).
If you have such an issue, just don't punch the old codes. To answer your question, yes, I do punch the old codes, even knowing they will be purged at some point.
