To the people who ban players,
Forums › General Discussion › To the people who ban players,-
You have to deal with the reaction of other players to your decision. You cannot continually moderate every thread in which someone brings up valid concerns to your methods. As far as we have seen, you are wildly inconsistent and will ban first, ask questions later. This pattern of behavior suggests that you are not doing the best for the community, but your own power. Quite frankly, I feel that continued actions in this manner will result in low retention rates for players, as well as players who have been around for a while leaving. Due to the fact that there are people here that I would like to remain in contact with, I'm asking you to please refine your methods to something less artificial, and more beneficial to the community as a whole.

I have no doubt in my mind this thread will be deleted in no time. If the mods are in a bad mood, tweek will get a temporary ban. Is it sad that I can predict this?

Thank you Tweek.

Well worded

You cheat. You get banned. Why the hell should I play honestly if someone can just cheat their way through it? I agree that sometimes mistakes have been made. But as far as I know it has then been rectified. Nothing wrong with banning cheats.

Very nice👏👏👏👍

Well said Tweek!

Tweek for President! ✊

I'm not accusing primo of anything, but I feel that support should give their accused spoofers a chance to provide a picture/copy/email of a receipt from that vacation because let's be honest. Any spoofer can lie about a vacation

Well said tweek. It would be nice if the people who did the banning would keep the community updated on issues from their perspective.

Having just served a forum ban for my posts in the OTB thread (where ironically I was defending the moderators), I'm going to risk posting in this one.
Although, I agree cheats and time wasters need to be punished, actions taken by the game's staff seems particularly harsh.
Primo is a well known hopper and. I find it hard to believe he'd spoof. If I recall he once posted a thread months before he was due to take a holiday, specifically to ensure he wasn't accused of spoofing.
I hope the TW team look carefully at their own recent actions and, if necessary, reverse their decisions and make a public apology.

What if it turns out to be true?

I would like to say that as a player who has invested over a years worth of time and a few dollars on this game, if I were reset/banned for something without proof FIRST, I would Know the mods/devs were biased and unfair. I would inundate and berate support with messages of dissatisfaction and would simply NEVER spend another penny of my money or second of my time on this game.
If the mods think they are gods then Maybe it's time to start stripping mods of their powers and assigning new mods possibly a rotation/changing of the guard to keep things unbiased.......

It would be seriously out of character for him to do so. I won't deny the possibility, but with very high profile players, I'd argue that TW staff need to explain why such action is taken. What if it turns out to be true?
Random bans and resets of players will be a little off putting for newer, less well established players. And I still believe this game's retention rate is low, so a little bit of feedback now and then wouldn't go amiss.

Well put. Though we as players don't have the full picture. His account can be reinstated if it's a simple error.⚜Ꮶ͜иιɢн͡т⚜ wrote:

As "The Man" pointed out in another thread, a pal of his had this happen to him. He was reinstated when it was cleared up. No drama.
Quite frankly, I hope the whole Primo scenario is a misunderstanding. Such a respected member of the community, it would be a shame to see him banned for such things.
As a player I can see why this could be frustrating for the person concerned but the whole pitch forking against the devs is a little much. If they had no such process for these things, there'd be far more anger from us fair paying customers.
If any of us suspected someone of spoofing, would you not feel happier if they were suspended until it had been cleared up?

@knight What if you were accused of spoofing and you were banned for weeks, what if you saw all that you had worked and paid for go down the toilet in the time you were banned when all along you were innocent?

Spoofing bans last a matter of days, once proof is supplied, not weeks. If he's innocent he will be restored, pre ban, plus money earned, and probably don points for his trouble.
Y'all need to calm the hell down and step away from the pitchforks. ✊

I also see how people are saying primo is a great guy, and he would never spoof.
I'm not disagreeing with you guys, but I dont think the mods look after the players reputation, (maybe in bans, but not popularity) it would seem unfair for the mods to judge a player from what the community thinks about him. -
Inconsistent bans? Ridiculous bans? How the F do you all know this? I'm sure you might have heard the whinings of someone that was banned. "oh poor me me. I was banned unfairly."
You've only heard from the person that was banned. A little one sided and skewed info I'm sure. Support should never discuss the details of any specific of ban or moderation with the community. That is info for Support and that specific player only.
I've had the pleasure of meeting Nick for drinks and dinner and I'll put my trust in him and his reasons for banning people

All I am saying is that there are better ways of doing things, and stating what I perceive. Everyone sees everything differently, but that doesn't mean that any of what anyone saw is true.
