You dumb ass. Diesel will ignite with a lite cigarette (their spark plugs are called glow plugs cause diesel uses heat not spark).

Pumping gas while the car is on is bad for only one reason. While you pump gas all the setiment in the bottom of the tank gets tossed up. If the car is running all that crap clogs the lines and filters and gets into your cylinders and valves. The older the car the more crap is gonna be in the tank. That's why it's bad to pump while the car is running. It's not gonna blow up just cause it's on.
