Greetings. I'd like to know on average how much a teacher in china gets paid and how much they work?
Here the make about 40k a year to start plus a bunch of benefits and summers and stat holidays off.

Depends on what and who they're teaching.

But sense it's china you don't get paid much.... But then again everything is cheap there.

I think my dad is about 50-60 k a year in the US. All he does is help the at risk kids and he says he does almost nothing.

When I taught in china. I was a professor at uni. 9 hours a week got me £700 a month. Plus house and all bills paid. That was ten years ago. The average Chinese wage then was £60 a month. Beer was 20p and cigarettes 50p. Hope that helps.

I can answer this in quite a lot of depth. I taught English in china for 2 years, and currently teach in Japan.

Few things to check:
1. You mean a native English speaker, not a Chinese teacher right?
2. International school or language school?
3. Location?
4, qualifications?
5. Experience?

I think he means a say high school teacher and no a Chinese teacher teaching Chinese students
Here in Ontario the teachers are going on strike soon.. I think he's looking for a comparison of Asian school teachers and Canadian/American school teachers
