iPad mini?
Forums › General Discussion › iPad mini?-
Is the iPad mini really gonna be worth it? Or is it better to get the iPad 4? Or wait till the iPad mini 2? I think I might wait...

Get what you want.

Im waiting for the IPad Mini Max

After getting the iPhone 5 I've come to realize there is never a good time to buy an apple product. Always something new coming around the corner. Just go get what u want and plan to buy again in a couple years.

iPad 4 is considerably heavier. iPad mini has no retina display and an older chip though. It is very light and good for traveling. If you want a retina display, wait for the mini 2. If you want faster processing, again, wait for the 2. But if you don't really care about bulk and like the bigger screen size, just get the iPad 4.

Get a nexus7 or a kindle fire. Both are about the same size and cheaper.

Get what u want. I got the mini and don't regret it at all. The non-retina display doesn't matter to me because I went from a 4s and ipad 2 to the mini and the display is better than both those

It's like that with all electronics. What you buy today could be out of date tomorrow.
You see it allot on TV's. -

Ah but the maxipad uses a heavy flow chipset, its prime function is absorption of high volumes of the same data. It struggles with varied applications.I got the maxipad, but it didn't have any of those features at all.
Try the midipad, it's far lighter but it uses a much more streamlined chipset. It channels different data types separately to give the user more 'manoeuvrability' in everyday situations. Data leakage is increased but easily defragged by regular cleansing. 👍💃

I guess what I'm really trying to say, is that it's where the audience lies. The kindle (although, yes I know it has apps / plays music) has a much wider audience for book readers, as it was originally developed for books. The iPad apps and music mainly, and the nexus 7, well... I don't know. Hill Billy says its alright, but I have no personal experience, so I can't say anything. The reason I suggested iPad, is because it's a good balance for all of the things you're looking for.ᙢ⋓Ḋʞ⇪ℙ wrote:

I just got a mini about two weeks ago and love it. I also have an iPad 2 and after using the mini I have a really hard time going back to the monster size iPad.
With that said I think it's crap that apple put out a new product with old technology. Give it 1 year and it will be too old to keep up with the latest apps and iOS. 2 years and it will be a fancy email checker and that's about it. This has been apples model for the iPod touch, it is usually one step behind the iPhone.
I like it a lot, but I wish they wouldn't have put out dated technology in it. And I'm not talking about the screen, I have an iPhone 4 and don't notice the difference in the screens at normal viewing distances.

Yep iBooks is terrible but you can download Kindle, problem solved :)

I have just bought an ipad 4. I was looking at the mini but the older technology put me off. I have been rewarded in my faith in the bigger pad as I have found time crisis in the App Store with the iPhone used as the gun, totally awesome but wouldn't have played as well on a smaller screen.
I guess it really depends what you will use it for.

I've got the original iPad...I feel old. I do notice it is running slower lately but it's getting the job done just fine. All you young whipper snappers can have your new fangled retina display thingys
-
The only thing I hate about nexus 7 is the fact that it has no back camera. Only a front one.
