Well I dropped my iPod, and of course it broke.
Was looking online for local repair shops, over all it looks like it will cost me around 100$ for a screen replacement.
Is it worth it?

Do you have insurance on it? If so it would most likely be cheaper to use it.

Sounds pretty bad. I'd think about getting it repaired. It's only like 100 don points.

Just buy a kit on ebay. >30$, easy to fix yourself.

It's simple. Use tool to pull screen off>remove digitizer>remove button>place new screen over button and digitizer after applying small strip of bonding tape.

Kit on e bay is cheap then watch a video on you tube of an 8 year old doing it

I've fixed several iDevices with this same tactic. Go on eBay and buy a new LCD screen and a digitalizer. This can cost anywhere from $10-40 if you know where to look. To replace the screen, try YouTubing it. There are many good guides.

In England it's £30 for a pod or phone or 80 for a pad
