I wanna new drug...

pardon the bragging, but the company that I work for just had its first drug product approved in the US by the FDA! π
It is for patients with advanced Medullary Thyroid Cancer, which is actually rather rare, but they have no other medication options.
We're still working on getting wider approval for prosate, breast, ovarian, kidney, lung and liver cancers... hopefully in 2-5 years ππππ

The new trade name is "Cometriq", generic is "cabozantinib"
@ The "Accountant" -- we also obtained approval from the EMA for Marketing Approval in the EU!

Good luck I hope it works! I've lost a lot of family members to cancer, my mom most recently.

I'm very sorry for your loss. Me too. This is something of a personal mission for me.
As we say: "Cancer Sucks" -
Congrats, great work towards a very worthy cause.
If your company is public, now might be a good time to add some extra stock to your retirement account. -

Good stuff. I work as a Development Scientist for a contract manufacturer and it's always good to see or hear of new medicines with a significant clinical be benefit coming through. π
