If it makes my attacks and defending faster by freeing up servers. Go for it. If I get the bonus of a chef reset. Even better

The old public messages can be helpful intel as well. Most players do not know all of what is public on their wall, since they are mixed in with dozens or more pages of primarily private messages.

You can sometimes find accidental public messages, telling you who their allies are.

You can find accidental messages they left themselves.

You can get a picture of the type of player, do they have a year worth of "please stop, you've capped half my turf" type messages or a year of "Thanks for the help" type messages?

You can sometimes connect a player who has changed his name to his old character via his public messages.

Beyond the sentimental value to the individual, their past public messages can sometimes contribute to valid aspects of gameplay.

I agree they should not be deleted.
